Flight 77 and the Pentagon.
What Really Happened?

Read the following summary of "known" events concerning AA Flight 77.

8:20 am :  20 miles from the Pentagon. Flight 77 departs from Dulles Airport.
8:50 am :260 miles from the Pentagon. Last radio communication with flight 77.
8:55 am : 300 miles from the Pentagon. Flight 77 turns while over southern Ohio.
8:56 am :299 miles from the Pentagon. Transponder/radar contact lost.
9:33 am : 20 miles from the Pentagon. Unidentified aircraft reported heading to central DC.
9:38 am :0 miles from the Pentagon. Crashes into the Pentagon.

So already we know that the Flight 77 story is nothing but a fabrication.

Dulles Airport is only 20 miles from the Pentagon. So it is insane to believe that the "hijackers", who started from Dulles Airport, waited until they were some 300 miles away from their target, the Pentagon, before hijacking the aircraft, turning it around and retracing their path back to the Pentagon. This would give the US Air Force over 40 minutes to get fighter aircraft up to investigate, and if necessary, shoot them down.

Any sane plan for hitting the Pentagon would involve hijacking the plane immediately after takeoff, turning it about quickly, and hitting the Pentagon before the US Air Force could react. Any sane plan could not suppose that the USAF had been stood down. Probably, the best plan would be to hijack a plane while it was on the ground at Washington International Airport, take off normally, then crash it into the Pentagon some 2 or 3 miles away.

So What Really Happened to the
"Hijacked" Flights of 9/11?

The aircraft that crashed into the Pentagon could not possibly have been the aircraft reported to have disappeared over southern Ohio. This is simply because, if it had flown from the Ohio/Kentucky border all the way back to Washington DC, then it would have been clearly visible on radar (if an aircrafts transponder is turned off, this means only that the aircraft stops transmitting its name, altitude, and some other details, however, it is still very visible to both military and civilian radar). So, it would have been clearly visible to the hundreds of radar stations on the ground, as it flew over terrain populated by more air force bases than any other area on the planet, yet the US Air Force did nothing. They did not even scramble jets to investigate, let alone defend US airspace. They acted exactly as if it did not exist. Perhaps it didn't. Perhaps it was a media fabrication.

But why fabricate the flight 77 story, and exactly how much of it was fabricated? It seems likely the flight 77 story was a cover for some other part of the 9/11 plot that had gone astray and that rather rapid improvisation had been called for. After all, if you planned from the beginning to say that a Boeing 757 had hit the Pentagon, then you would have made sure that you had a Boeing 757 ready and available to do exactly that. So what happened to the Boeing 757 that was meant to hit the Pentagon?

The flights as they occurred on September 11.

Let's see if we can find what went wrong with the original plan. First, we note that flight 93 suffers from a similar problem to that of flight 77. Once again, the hijackers turned their plane toward their target at a ridiculous 300 miles from it. This means that again, the USAF had 40 minutes (or more) to get fighter aircraft up to investigate, and if necessary, to shoot the flight down. Since it is standard practice to scramble fighters to investigate large deviations from an aircrafts planned route, this could not possibly be part of the original plan of any sane conspirators. So it looks like things went wrong for flight 93.

The flights, if they had proceeded according to plan.

The conspirators plan would have made more sense if it was intended that flight 93 should turn much earlier in order to strike its target, the Pentagon. The planned flight was probably something similar to that pictured above. However, due to some malfunction, the aircraft did not turn at the designated point and continued on toward Chicago. When the plane failed to turn, it seemed that the conspirators plan to hit the Pentagon, was lost.

But the conspirators were a dedicated and resourceful group, and improvised. Among the resources they had available to them was an old American Airlines Boeing 737 (100 or 200 series) parked at (Ronald Reagan) Washington International Airport (or possibly Bolling or Andrews Air Force Base) control of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, and a member who was willing to die for the cause. With this they could complete the Pentagon strike.

The substitute 737 would look very similar to the planned 757, but 737s are somewhat smaller. This they could fly from Washington International Airport the 2 to 3 miles to the Pentagon, and crash it into the building, completing the original plan.

American Airlines does not fly any early model 737s, but does fly 77 Boeing 737-800s, so why not just report that a Boeing 737-800 had hit the Pentagon? After all, the Boeing 737-800 is closer in size to the Boeing 737-100s and 200s, than the Boeing 757 is. One assumes that there was some technical reason. Perhaps, all Boeing 737-800s could have been easily accounted for after the attack. Perhaps, certain preplanned publicity/events could not be changed in time. Perhaps it was that no Boeing 737-800s were operating in the Washington area at the time, or that the paint-work of the 737-800 is distinctively different from the earlier 737s, or simply that the conspirators erroneously believed that American Airlines flew no 737s at all.

While the American terrorists were still congratulating themselves on a job well improvised, another complication developed. They learned that at sometime around 9:35, flight 93 had turned toward Washington. What to do, what to do? It now appeared that the turning time (or turning coordinates) had been incorrectly loaded into flight 93's autopilot, causing the aircraft to turn some half an hour to late. So, the plane had turned alright, but some half hour later than planned. What to do, what to do?

Since flight 93 was now destined to hit the Pentagon at the same spot the Boeing 737 had just hit it, flight 93 had to be shot down. Orders were given and flight 93 was shot down. Of course, not being part of the original carefully crafted plan, the shoot down was vigorously covered up.

The Details:

8:41 Flight 93 leaves Newark, some 40 minutes later than scheduled. It was probably planned that flight 93 leave this late. This gives the appearance that the "hijackers" had little control over events on the ground.

9:05 Flight 93 should have turned south toward Washington DC, but doesn't. It now appears that Flight 93 will head on to its original destination.

9:10 It is now clear that flight 93 has not turned. Improvisation, or a back-up plan is required.

9:32 Substitute aircraft takes off from Reagan Washington International Airport (or possibly Bolling or Andrews Air Force Base).

9:35 Flight 93 should have impacted the Pentagon (on the north-west face).

9:36 Flight 93 veers off-course and heads for Washington DC. Now two aircraft are headed to crash at the Pentagon.

9:38 The substitute aircraft impacts the Pentagon. Because the substitute aircraft was approaching from Washington Airport (which is south east of the Pentagon) instead of from the north-west as planned, the craft had to preform an almost 360 degree turn in order to hit the target spot. The original plan involved simply flying straight into the Pentagon from the north-west.

9:40 Around this time the conspirators hear that flight 93 has (belatedly) turned.

10:06 Realizing that flight 93 was destined to hit the Pentagon again (probably at the same spot), the conspirators have flight 93 shot down.

Later, it is released by the controlled press that flight 77 had left Dallas at 8:20, etc. In reality, flight 77 never existed.

Above is the claimed flight path of flight 77 over Washington. Note, that this is a very strange flight path for an aircraft coming from the east and planning to crash into the Pentagon. This flight path is based on various press reports, for example, this CBS article, which states:

"At 9:33 the plane crossed the Capitol Beltway and took aim on its military target. But the jet, flying at more than 400 mph, was too fast and too high when it neared the Pentagon at 9:35. The hijacker-pilots were then forced to execute a difficult high-speed descending turn.

Radar shows Flight 77 did a downward spiral, turning almost a complete circle and dropping the last 7,000 feet in two-and-a-half minutes."

The real flight path of the substitute aircraft is marked in red below. Note that the writer of the article from which the map was taken has colored Bolling Air Force Base green, to make it appear as "just another park" (it really wouldn't do to have people realize how close the nearest Air Force Base was to the Pentagon (it is also worth noting that Andrews Air Force Base is just ten miles from the Pentagon)).

As mentioned above, it is possible, that the substitute aircraft actually took off from Bolling Air Force Base (the green area across the Potomac from Washington International Airport, in the map below) rather than from, Washington International Airport.

This article was carried by a number of well-known false opposition web-sites like www.whatreallyhappend.com www.thepowerhour.com and www.rense.com. It appears that the purpose of the CBS article was to explain away the unusual circular path the plane took before hitting the Pentagon.

The intended flight path of United Airways 93 has been marked in blue. The new white path is one that more closely matches the press reports (than the white path in the original graphic). The red path is one which matches all the facts best.

Air traffic controllers try to make contact but fail. At 9.25 the controller observes the plane moving towards Washington. Eight minutes later, the US secret service is informed and the aircraft is observed completing a right 360-degree turn, just south of the Pentagon. At 9.36 the national airport instructs a military C130 (Golfer 06) that has just departed Andrews air force base to intercept the flight and identify it. At 9.38 AA77 crashes into the south-west side of the Pentagon

The airplane was headed for the heart of Washington. But as it crossed the Pentagon at perhaps 7,000 feet - the exact altitude is uncertain because its transponder had been turned off - it began a 360- degree turn to the right that brought nearly to ground level. It crashed into the west side of the Pentagon at 9:38 a.m.

Because the plane's transponder was turned off, it was hard for controllers to track the plane precisely, but ultimately the controller who cleared the plane out of Dulles watched his scope as the aircraft flew back toward Washington. Authorities contend that Hanjour was at the controls and that the plane may have been on autopilot. Controllers say the plane crossed the Pentagon at 7,000 feet and then made a sweeping circle to the right, during which time it dropped down to near surface level.
